Environmental Stewardship

As a member of the green industry, we have an added responsibility to be good stewards of our natural resources. We also understand that many clients have become keenly aware of the need to reduce their environmental impact.

Our initiatives toward responsible environmental stewardship include:

Applying Our Industry's Best Management Practices:

We’re always integrating our industry’s best practices to conserve and protect natural resources through responsible irrigation, nutrient management, and pest management.

Integrated Pest Management:

IPM Programs begin with correctly identifying the invasive pest, then use a combination of biological, cultural, physical/mechanical and chemical management tools to create an environment where it is less likely that the pest will return.

Innovation Irrigation:

This includes smart controllers, rain sensors, micro-irrigation, and drip irrigation to eliminate water waste. We install recycled water intakes where natural sources are available and perform regular irrigation audits on existing systems as part of our full-service landscape management plans.

Reducing Carbon Emissions:

The Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) equipment used by our service personnel reduces our fuel consumption by 25% compared with traditional outdoor power equipment.  In addition, many of our branch service facilities feature propane-powered equipment and reduced emission service vehicles.

Organic Options:

We offer organic alternatives to all traditional landscape management solutions. Organic solutions are available for not only your property’s fertilization requirements, but also for insect, disease, and weed management.

Drought-Tolerant Plants & Trees:

By installing the right plant material for your property, we reduce the water consumption necessary for plants that are installed without proper regard for environmental considerations like sunlight, temperature, and soil fertility.

LEED Initiative Projects:

Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) is a green building rating system developed by the US Green Building Council and provides standards for environmentally sustainable construction. We have partnered with clients seeking to attain LEED certification and those already certified, to maintain their designations of environmental responsibility.
