Tim Portland

Chief Executive Officer

Tim Portland became the CEO of Yellowstone Landscape in late 2012 and has led Yellowstone to record safety, customer service and satisfaction, growth, and business performance. Yellowstone has expanded its operations by striving to deliver Excellence in Commercial Landscaping to demanding customers who value the benefits quality landscaping delivers. Tim serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP), and chairs NALP’s H-2B steering committee. He also serves on the Board of the Seasonal Employment Alliance (SEA), an advocacy organization pushing hard for congressional reform of seasonal worker visa programs and the overall US labor situation. Prior to joining Yellowstone, Tim was the CEO of United Subcontractors, a leading installer of building products. Over a ten-year period, he was the President of several divisions of Scotts Miracle-Gro, including the Ortho and Roundup brands, Scotts LawnService, and Scott’s International Professional business. He previously was an executive with Scientific-Atlanta (now part of Cisco), and a management consultant with McKinsey and Company. Tim holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden Business School and an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College.

Elise Johnson

Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Elise Johnson has been Yellowstone Landscape’s Vice President of Human Resources since joining the company in 2010. Ms. Johnson’s responsibilities include overseeing Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employee Engagement, Total Rewards, and HR Compliance. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College, and her Master’s from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Before joining Yellowstone, Elise held similar positions at several financial services firms in New York.

James Herth

Senior Vice President, Business Development

James Herth became Yellowstone Landscape’s Vice President of Business Development in 2014, after joining the company in 2011 as its Jacksonville Branch Manager. Jim is responsible for Yellowstone’s industry-leading sales team, a critical component of Yellowstone’s superior growth and track record with customers. A twenty-five-year industry veteran, Jim is a licensed Arborist and holds a bachelor’s degree from Siena Heights University.

Brian Wester

Senior Vice President, Operations

Brian Wester is Yellowstone’s Senior Vice President of Operations, responsible for providing leadership to Yellowstone’s operations across the Southeast and Midwest. Mr. Wester joined the company in 2003 as an Account Manager in Palm Coast, Florida. He was promoted to District Manager and from 2005-2010, started up and managed multiple branch locations in the Orlando market. In 2011 Brian was promoted to Regional Vice President for our Georgia and South Carolina operations. In recent years, Yellowstone’s Florida operations and Midwest expansion were added to his responsibilities. Brian holds an Associates of Science degree in Golf Course Operations, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Finance, and an MBA from the University of Florida.

Jim Sivils

Regional Vice President

Jim Sivils joined Yellowstone Landscape in 2010 after previously starting and operating his own successful tree and landscape services company for more than 20 years in Houston, Texas. Jim has overseen Yellowstone’s extraordinary growth in Texas and is responsible for all Yellowstone Landscape operations across the state of Texas.

Timothy Sherman

Vice President, Finance

Timothy Sherman leads Yellowstone Landscape’s Financial Planning and Analysis team. Timo joined the company in 2008 as a Project Manager, and served customers and frontline teams as an Account Manager and Branch Manager before moving into Finance. Timo leads Yellowstone’s Regional Financial Analysts in supporting operations, is responsible for all qualitative and quantitative analyses and recommendations on key issues or potential actions that may have a material impact on the company, and leads the analysis and execution of all acquisition evaluations and expansions by Yellowstone. He holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Florida and an MBA from Jacksonville University.

Chris Adornetti

Vice President, Accounting

Chris Adornetti joined Yellowstone Landscape in June of 2015. Chris oversees all day to day accounting and finance requirements of the company. Prior to joining Yellowstone, Chris spent 7 years at Harte Hanks, a publicly-traded marketing, data analytics, and logistics company, and he worked in public accounting and internal audit before that. A two-time graduate of the University of North Florida, Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration.
